Mastery Workshop

Aikido is one of the key legacy arts incorporated in MIM's Karate program. Join us for a MIM Mastery Workshop with Sensei Sam Combes, 6th Dan Aikido. Sensei Combes is a accomplished Aikido practitioner who's training also includes Karate and Judo. His background includes work in law enforcement as a Honolulu Policeman and a Los Angeles County Sheriff. Sensei Combes is also the founder of Keisatsu Aikido, a system developed to teach police officers Aikido and develop black belt officers as an enhancement to the Police Weaponless Tactics program.
Sensei Combes has also developed several Aikido training videos which are widely sold commercially. He currently teaches out of his KADOKAN Dojo Headquartered in Anaheim, California and is a sought after Aikido instructor and technician.

Jujitsu is one of the key legacy arts incorporated in MIM's Karate program. Join us for an MIM Mastery workshop with Grandmaster Kirby is a 10th degree Jujitsu black belt as we explore the finer points and gain a deeper insight of this historical art.
Grandmaster Kirby is internationally recognized Jujitsu instructor and an accomplished martial arts book author. He is the founder of the Budoshin® style of Jujitsu and Budoshin® Jujitsu Yudanshakai educational foundation. He currently severs as the Chairman on the board of directors for Budoshin® Jujitsu Dojo Inc. and the American Jujitsu Association. He currently teaches out of his Dojo headquartered in Santa Clarita, California and is a sought after Jujitsu instructor and technician.
MIM Invitational Tournament

All current MIM students are invited to participate in our in-house annual tournament to compete for fun and prizes.
The competition is open to Junior, Teen & Adult age groups and consists of three categories including Forms, Sparing and Self Defense. These categories also apply to Weapons. Students may participate in one or more categories. Participant divisions are established by age and rank. Sign up now for this fun fall event!

Shorin Ryu is a style of Karate that serves as a base art in MIM's Karate program. Join us for a MIM Mastery Workshop with Grandmaster Tadashi Yamashita, 9th degree black belt in Okinawan Karate & Kobudo. He has direct lineage from these arts and is highly respected in all circles of the martial arts.
Grandmaster Yamashita is sought after from students all over the world. He is also the President and Director of U.S.A. Shorin-Ryu Karate Association, and President of the Zen Okinawan Kobudo Association, founder of the Suikendo fighting system and is credited for teaching the late Bruce Lee the use of the unchucku. Grandmaster Yamashita is also an accomplished action movie star.
